Chime opens 84,000-square-foot New York office in Flatiron
Chime (Nasdaq: CHYM) has opened a new office at 122 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan's Flatiron District, establishing its East Coast hub in what the company describes as its largest metropolitan market.
The 84,000-square-foot space spans three floors and houses New York-based employees across product, engineering, enterprise, marketing, and partnerships teams. The location adds to Chime's existing offices in San Francisco and Chicago.
Chime first established a presence in New York in 2023 and expanded in 2024 through the acquisition of Salt Labs, a New York-based company now operating as Chime Enterprise, which offers Chime products through employer channels.

"As the leading consumer financial technology brand, it is only natural that Chime would have a flagship office in the financial capital of the world," said Chris Britt, CEO and co-founder of Chime.
The office opening follows Chime's recently announced definitive agreement to acquire Stride Bank, its bank partner of more than seven years. If approved by regulators, Stride Bank would become a subsidiary of Chime, bringing a national bank charter in-house.
Chime also noted community partnerships in New York with organizations including Junior Achievement, the Council for Economic Education, and Urban Pathways, with a focus on financial education and economic mobility.
