September 15, 2026 12:01 PM

Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT) and BBC Studios announced a multi-year global licensing partnership that will bring the animated series Bluey to five of Mattel's toy brands, with the first products expected to arrive in Fall 2026.

Under the agreement, Bluey characters will appear across Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, Polly Pocket, and UNO product lines. Specific items will include Little People figures and playsets featuring characters Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chilli; Barbie Cutie Reveal dolls dressed as Bluey and Bingo; Polly Pocket compact playsets; Hot Wheels vehicles; and UNO card games.

Nick Karamanos, Head of Entertainment Partnerships at Mattel, said: "Bluey reminds us that the best play doesn't require anything extraordinary, just creativity, laughter, and the people you love. That's what makes this partnership a natural fit."

Suzy Raia, EVP of Global Consumer Products at BBC Studios, said: "Bluey has resonated with families around the world because it celebrates the creativity and connection that comes through play. Mattel's portfolio of iconic brands makes them an ideal partner to extend that spirit through new and engaging play experiences."

Bluey is created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio. The series is commissioned by BBC Studios Kids & Family and ABC Children's. A feature film, The Bluey Movie, is scheduled for theatrical release on Aug. 6, 2027, with distribution through Walt Disney Studios.
