Rubrik launches AI code security tool using Anthropic's Claude model
Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK) has unveiled Rubrik Code Guardian, a service that uses Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5 AI model to scan customer source code for security vulnerabilities, according to a company press release.
The service operates on air-gapped copies of a customer's code repository, meaning analysis runs in an isolated environment separate from live systems. Rubrik says this approach allows the AI model to identify multi-step vulnerability chains — sequences of weaknesses that could be combined in an attack — and validate whether those chains are actually exploitable before flagging them.
Confirmed critical issues are pushed into developer workflows via Jira or GitHub, with file-level guidance on remediation.

"Frontier models are advancing at a fast pace. In the wrong hands, these models can be used to discover, chain, and exploit vulnerabilities at machine speed," said Arvind Nithrakashyap, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Rubrik. "To move just as fast, we are using frontier AI to scale vulnerability detection faster than our traditional code scanning tools."
Anthropic's cybersecurity lead, Michael Moore, said in the press release that Rubrik is among partners working to put Claude Mythos 5's capabilities in defenders' hands "so they can find and validate attack paths before attackers do."
Rubrik Code Guardian is currently in private preview, with the company accepting select design partners. No general availability date has been announced.
