Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT) has opened a new company-owned Innovation Hub in New York City, representing an investment of more than $60 million, according to a press release from the cybersecurity company.

The facility spans approximately 40,000 square feet, which the company says is three times the size of its previous New York City office. The hub will house employees across multiple functions, including sales, and will offer customers and partners access to technology demonstrations, executive briefings, and cybersecurity training.

The facility includes a Fortinet cloud point of presence data center, an executive briefing center, and a dedicated cybersecurity training center. The hub also features energy-efficient infrastructure, including heat recovery from its data center to help heat other areas of the building.

Chief Operating Officer John Whittle said in a statement: "New York City is the world's most important center for financial services and enterprise business, making it a strategic market for Fortinet."

The company said the new location is intended to support closer engagement with financial services organizations, among other sectors. Fortinet claims the top 10 financial services enterprises in New York City are among its customers.

The New York City hub joins existing Fortinet Innovation Hubs in Chicago, Atlanta, London, and Sydney, among other locations.
