Commvault opens FedRAMP High cloud services to MSP partners
Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT) announced that qualified managed service provider (MSP) partners can now offer services built on Commvault Cloud for Government, a FedRAMP High Authorized platform, according to a company press release dated Sept. 15, 2026.
The expansion allows MSPs to deliver data protection and cyber resilience services to U.S. federal agencies and organizations within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Previously, the FedRAMP High Authorized platform was not available through an MSP route to market.
Through the MSP model, service providers can deliver capabilities covering data protection across hybrid, SaaS, and on-premises workloads. The platform also provides inherited security controls intended to help MSPs address portions of their compliance obligations under FedRAMP and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Commvault stated its FedRAMP High authorization enabled rapid achievement of CMMC Level 2 compliance and can support applicable NIST SP 800-171 requirements.

"MSPs need a platform they can build a business on and today that includes delivering trusted and scalable resilience services to customers," said Mario Pirolozzi, Vice President of Managed Service Providers at Commvault. "For partners serving federal agencies and defense entities, providing FedRAMP High Authorized capabilities enables them to do that."
Kevin Cronin, CEO of KELYN Technologies, an MSP partner, also commented: "Combining Commvault's FedRAMP High Authorized capabilities with an MSP delivery model gives us a powerful foundation for helping customers protect critical data while staying focused on their missions."
Commvault Cloud for Government services are available to qualified MSP partners in the United States through the FedRAMP Marketplace.
