BioHarvest launches chewable version of its VINIA supplement
BioHarvest Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ: BHST) announced the launch of single-dose VINIA Daily Chews, a chewable format of its red-grape cell composition supplement, according to a company press release.
Each individually packaged Daily Chew delivers 400 mg of VINIA and 6 mg of piceid resveratrol, matching the dosage of the company's existing capsule format. The product is now available for purchase on the company's consumer website.
VINIA is described as a natural, non-GMO powder derived through the company's Botanical Synthesis platform, which produces plant-based compositions without growing the underlying plant. The chewable format is intended to reach consumers who prefer alternatives to traditional capsules.
"VINIA is our first consumer product from the platform and one of our most important assets," said Dr. Zaki Rakib, CEO of BioHarvest Sciences. "Daily Chews show that path in market: a natural, non-GMO composition manufactured as powder and brought into formats that fit more daily habits."

The company said early market feedback indicated customer engagement and retention above expectations for a new delivery format. BioHarvest also noted the chewable format presents an opportunity to explore oral transmucosal delivery of piceid resveratrol, citing published research suggesting compounds delivered through mouth tissue may partially bypass gastrointestinal degradation.
BioHarvest cited a MarketsandMarkets report estimating the global gummy and chewable supplements market at approximately $24.4 billion in 2025, with a projected 14.4% compound annual growth rate through 2030.
The company also stated the format expansion is intended to serve as a demonstration of its Botanical Synthesis platform's commercial versatility for prospective contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) partners.
