Big Ridge Gold adds Garett Macdonald to its board of directors
Big Ridge Gold Corp. (TSXV: BRAU) (OTCQB: ALVLF) has appointed Garett Macdonald to its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Macdonald brings more than 30 years of mining industry experience to the role. He currently serves as Vice President of Operations and General Manager of Hemlo Mining Corporation. He previously held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Maritime Resources in Newfoundland and Labrador, where he oversaw the Hammerdown gold project from development through to first gold production. Maritime Resources was acquired by New Found Gold in 2025 for $292 million.
Earlier in his career, Macdonald worked as a consultant for Dalradian Resources on the feasibility study for the Curraghinalt gold project, and with New Gold and Rainy River Resources on the Rainy River project in Northern Ontario. He also held mine operations roles with Suncor Energy and Placer Dome Inc. He holds an MBA from Western University's Ivey Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from Laurentian University.

In connection with the appointment, Big Ridge awarded Macdonald 300,000 stock options under its Amended and Restated Option Plan. The options are exercisable at $0.51 per share, vest immediately, and expire September 15, 2031.
