PyroGenesis signs titanium powder contract with U.S. distributor
PyroGenesis Inc. (TSX: PYR) (OTCQX: PYRGF) has signed its first commercial contract toward a titanium powder supply agreement with an undisclosed U.S.-based materials distributor, according to a press release dated Sept. 15, 2026.
The order is for Ti64 "fine" cut powder with a particle size range of 20-80 microns, produced using PyroGenesis' NexGen™ plasma atomization process. The powder is scheduled to ship the same week as the announcement. The client's identity and contract terms are being kept confidential.
The distributor supplies U.S. customers in the aerospace, defense, energy, and advanced manufacturing sectors. The client has indicated its potential monthly requirements could reach 1,000 kg (1 tonne), though no commitment for recurring orders at that volume has been made. PyroGenesis had previously disclosed in its Q2 2026 earnings release that it was in discussions with a U.S.-based distributor for a monthly supply agreement of up to 500 kg.

Ti64 fine cut powder is used in laser powder bed fusion, an additive manufacturing process for producing components in the aerospace, healthcare, and automotive industries.
"This relationship with a well-connected materials distributor serving both the aerospace and defense sectors will help us expand our customer base in these two key industries that we have identified as central to achieving those strategic goals," said P. Peter Pascali, President and CEO of PyroGenesis.
PyroGenesis is based in Montreal and describes itself as the inventor of the plasma atomization process. The company has progressively scaled its powder production from gram-scale samples to its first tonne-scale order in May 2023.
