Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) announced that its Deepwater Conqueror drillship has been awarded a two-well contract for work in Equatorial Guinea with an undisclosed operator, according to a press release dated Sept. 15, 2026.

The estimated 170-day campaign is expected to begin in 2027, following the rig's current contract in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The contract is expected to contribute approximately $80 million to Transocean's backlog, excluding additional services and compensation for mobilization and demobilization.

Transocean operates a fleet of 27 mobile offshore drilling units, consisting of 20 ultra-deepwater floaters and seven harsh environment floaters.
