NVRO Metals Limited (TSXV: NVRO) announced a planned management and governance transition, with Executive Chair David Cam set to retire from his executive role and not stand for re-election at the company's upcoming Annual General and Special Meeting.

Chief Executive Officer Grant Freeman will stand for election to the board as part of the transition to a CEO-led management structure supported by a fully non-executive board. Paul McRae, currently Lead Independent Director, will assume the role of Chair.

Following his retirement, Cam will enter into a Founder's Agreement with the Vancouver-based company, providing strategic advice in an advisory capacity.

"This transition is part of the evolution of NVRO as we have built the management and governance structure needed for the Company's next phase," Cam said. He added that he is stepping away from executive and board responsibilities to focus on his health and family.

McRae said the move to a CEO-led structure reflects the maturity of the business and the management capability that has been established.

NVRO Metals describes itself as a clean technology company focused on the recovery of precious, base, and critical metals from refractory sulfidic ores, concentrates, and tailings. The company is advancing the NVRO Metals Hub in the Northern Territory, Australia.
