Clearmind Medicine to acquire 51% of EV wireless charging firm
Clearmind Medicine Inc. (NASDAQ: CMND), a clinical-stage biotech company, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 51% stake in Charging Robotics, a company that develops wireless charging systems for automated parking facilities and autonomous vehicles, according to a press release.
Under the terms of the deal, Clearmind will pay $2.5 million for the majority stake. In addition, Clearmind will extend a $1.5 million loan to Charging Robotics at an interest rate of 4% per annum. The loan is due on the three-year anniversary of the closing, with an automatic extension if Charging Robotics has not generated sufficient positive cash flow to repay the outstanding amount by that date.
Charging Robotics develops wireless EV charging systems capable of delivering up to 10 kW of continuous power. The technology is designed for environments where conventional plug-in infrastructure cannot operate, including robotic parking platforms and robotaxi operations. The system features real-time energy management and vehicle communication without requiring manual connections.
The closing of the acquisition is expected to occur during the week of September 7, 2026, subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions.
Clearmind, which is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, holds a portfolio of 19 patent families, including 32 granted patents, focused on neuroplastogen-derived therapeutics.
