Dubai's VARA and Securitize sign MoU on tokenized markets
Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and Securitize Corp. (NYSE: SECZ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance tokenization and digital asset infrastructure in the Emirate of Dubai, according to a press release from Securitize.
The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration covering knowledge sharing, ecosystem development, and regulatory engagement. Under the agreement, the two parties will explore tokenization initiatives within Dubai, including projects initiated or facilitated by VARA. The collaboration also includes talent attraction, market education, data-driven research, and the development of tokenized financial products within Dubai's regulatory framework.
Carlos Domingo, Co-Founder and CEO of Securitize, said: "As tokenisation moves from concept to mainstream financial infrastructure, collaboration between regulators and industry becomes increasingly important."

Matthew White, VARA CEO, said: "Through our collaboration with Securitize we are supporting the development of regulated tokenised markets and reinforcing Dubai's position as a leading global centre for capital markets."
Securitize reports approximately $5 billion in assets under management as of August 2026. The company states it operates regulated digital securities infrastructure in both the U.S. and the European Union. VARA was established in March 2022 under Law No. 4 of 2022 and oversees virtual asset activities across Dubai's commercial zones, excluding the Dubai International Financial Centre.
