Lakeland Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: LAKE) announced that its LHD Group Hong Kong subsidiary has been awarded a contract to supply foul weather shell clothing and overpants to the Government Flying Service (GFS) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The contract was received on August 21, 2026.

The award covers specialized protective outerwear for GFS Pilots and Engineering Officers and marks the second consecutive contract Lakeland has secured with the agency. The first contract, awarded in 2020, supplied foul weather gear to GFS Aircrewman Officers.

The GFS operates around the clock providing aerial support including search and rescue, aerial firefighting, aero-medical evacuation, and disaster relief. As of December 31, 2024, the GFS employed 331 personnel and operated a fleet of 12 aircraft.

The garments are constructed from GORE-TEX PYRAD fabric, which combines flame resistance, waterproofing, and breathability. For this follow-on contract, LHD Group Hong Kong incorporated design modifications including ergonomic adjustments, improved mobility features, and utility pockets based on feedback from aircrewmen and the operational requirements of pilots and engineering officers.
