ZenaTech completes initial prototype of IQ Octo agriculture drone
ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) announced that its ZenaDrone subsidiary has completed an initial Version 1 prototype of the IQ Octo, an eight-motor autonomous drone designed for precision spraying and seeding applications, according to a press release dated Sept. 3, 2026.
The battery-powered octocopter is designed to fly approximately 20 to 25 minutes per charge and carry a payload of up to 25 kilograms of seeds or liquid. Depending on the mission configuration, the drone will carry either a liquid tank with spray nozzles or a hopper with a spreader for seeds. Field testing of the Version 1 prototype is expected to begin at the company's Arizona facility in the coming weeks.
The IQ Octo joins ZenaDrone's existing IQ Series product lineup and is intended to operate as part of ZenaTech's Drone as a Service (DaaS) business model. A planned Version 2 is expected to add solar panel maintenance capability, swarm functionality, automated refilling, and a folding design.

ZenaDrone operates manufacturing facilities in Arizona, Dubai, and Taiwan. ZenaTech's shares are listed on Nasdaq, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE: 49Q), and the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV: ZENA).
