Enerqos names Paolo Formica as CEO to lead Italian operations

Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE: AMRC) announced that Enerqos, its Italian subsidiary focused on energy efficiency and decarbonization, has appointed Paolo Formica as chief executive officer.

Formica brings more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, with executive roles spanning strategy, commercial operations, business development, procurement, and contract management. In recent years, he has worked on wind and solar portfolio development in Italy and across Europe. He holds a law degree with honors.

"Paolo combines deep knowledge of the energy market with a proven track record of leading complex organizations," said Giorgio Pucci, chairman of Enerqos. "We are confident that his leadership will strengthen Enerqos' position and support the company's long-term growth."

Spyros Kairis, general manager for Europe at Ameresco, said Italy is a key market for the group. "Paolo's appointment strengthens our presence in the country and our ability to combine local expertise with international experience to better support our customers," he said.

Founded in 2006, Enerqos operates across Italy as a certified Energy Service Company. Ameresco, headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts, serves public and private sector customers across North America and Europe.
