Starfighters Space, Inc. (NYSE American: FJET) has signed a memorandum of understanding with The Bionetics Corporation to integrate and process a series of small pathfinder payloads for missions aboard the company's F-104 aircraft, according to a press release.

Under the agreement, Bionetics will handle pre-flight and post-flight assembly, testing, integration, and data retrieval for multiple classes of small payloads. The work will be conducted using Bionetics' laboratories, equipment, and personnel within the Space Life Sciences Lab at the Cape Canaveral Spaceport.

The Space Life Sciences Lab is a 104,000-square-foot facility located approximately nine miles from Starfighters' hangar. The facility supports NASA and commercial space activities, including processing microsatellites and conducting spaceflight experiments. Both companies are housed within the facility, alongside Space Florida, multiple universities, and other space companies.

"Working with Bionetics, we will use these first payloads as pathfinders to determine the array of equipment and services required for future Wind Tunnel in the Sky and STARLAUNCH missions," said Tim Franta, CEO of Starfighters Space.

Starfighters operates a fleet of F-104 aircraft based at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida and the Midland International Air and Space Port in Texas. The aircraft are used for air-launched payloads, pilot training, and research, development, test, and evaluation activities covering hypersonic technologies, advanced materials, and other aerospace applications.
