Eaton invests $242M in Arkansas plant for electrical enclosures

September 2, 2026 7:31 AM

Eaton (NYSE: ETN) announced a more than $242 million investment to build a new manufacturing facility in North Little Rock, Arkansas, according to a company press release.

The 1 million-square-foot facility is intended to expand production of customized modular electrical enclosures through the company's Fibrebond business, which Eaton acquired in April 2025. The investment is expected to double Eaton's U.S. manufacturing capacity for that product line, serving data center, utility, industrial and digital communications markets.

Eaton said the facility is expected to create more than 1,200 manufacturing, electrical and operations jobs. The company also plans to offer hands-on technical skills training and career advancement programs at the site.

Partners in the project include Governor Sanders, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, the City of North Little Rock, and the Metro Little Rock Alliance, led by the Little Rock Regional Chamber.

The new facility builds on Fibrebond's existing operations in Minden, Louisiana, where the company says production capacity has doubled over the past three years.

"This investment expands our ability to deliver custom modular electrical enclosures while strengthening our U.S. manufacturing capacity and skilled workforce," said Mike Yelton, president of Electrical Sector, Americas, at Eaton.

Eaton reported revenues of $27.4 billion in 2025 and serves customers in 180 countries.
