Kratos wins $20M contract for mobile SATCOM gateways in Asia

September 1, 2026 9:01 AM

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (NASDAQ: KTOS) has been awarded a contract valued at more than $20 million to deliver mobile satellite communication gateways to a defense customer in Asia, according to a company statement.

Under the contract, Kratos will supply truck-mounted Trifold transportable antennas that the company says require no special tools to deploy. The antennas are integrated into a mobile SATCOM hub designed for field environments.

The system includes a shelter housing baseband platforms and software, including Kratos' Compass product for monitor-and-control of networks and its Monics product for spectrum monitoring and interference detection.

"This capability is ultimately about giving operators on the ground what they need most: dependable communications they can count on in the middle of fast-moving missions," said John Chay, Vice President of Business Development in Asia at Kratos. "When fixed infrastructure is compromised, this mobile gateway lets warfighters stay connected, aware, and supported wherever the mission takes them."

The award expands Kratos' presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Kratos is headquartered in San Diego and provides defense and national security technologies across multiple product lines.
