Humana reaffirms 2026 earnings guidance ahead of investor meetings
Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) plans to reaffirm its fiscal year 2026 earnings guidance during meetings with investors and analysts scheduled throughout September 2026, according to a regulatory filing.
The company said it will maintain its guidance of at least $6.52 in diluted earnings per share on a GAAP basis, or at least $9.00 on an adjusted, non-GAAP basis, for the year ending December 31, 2026. The guidance is unchanged from figures issued in a Humana press release dated July 29, 2026.
The non-GAAP adjusted figure accounts for several items added back to the GAAP result, including $1.47 for put/call valuation adjustments related to minority interest investments, $1.27 for value creation initiatives, $0.30 for amortization of identifiable intangibles, and $0.17 for impairment charges, partially offset by a cumulative net tax impact of $(0.73).
Humana noted that its GAAP EPS guidance could change due to ongoing value creation and other strategic initiatives, while it does not expect changes to its adjusted non-GAAP EPS guidance. Both figures exclude the impact of value changes to items not yet recognized or not currently estimable.
The company also stated it will not comment on 2027 Medicare Advantage Star Ratings until the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services releases final ratings data in October.
