Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) has been selected to participate in Project Watershed 250, a water sector cybersecurity pilot program launched by the Trump Administration, according to a company press release.

The program was initiated by White House National Cyber Director Sean Cairncross and Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Parsons Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer Carey Smith attended the launch event in San Antonio, Texas.

"Project Watershed 250 comes at a pivotal moment, as critical infrastructure faces escalating and increasingly complex threats from AI-enabled cyberattacks, nation-state pre-positioning, and aging legacy systems," Smith said. "For more than eight decades, Parsons has designed and developed global water infrastructure solutions, and we currently support more than 400 electric and water utilities across the United States."

Parsons said its role in the pilot will include red teaming, vulnerability assessments, remediation and mitigation, and AI-enabled cyber defense. The company states it has more than 80 years of experience with water and wastewater infrastructure, including expertise in programmable logic controllers, SCADA networks, and water treatment plants.

The announcement also highlighted several other recent cybersecurity contract awards for the company. Parsons said it was selected in 2026 by the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District for an on-call cybersecurity professional services contract. The company also provides cybersecurity consulting services to Los Angeles World Airports and serves as virtual chief information security officer for the $16 billion Hudson Tunnel Project connecting New Jersey and New York. Parsons additionally supports technology and digital modernization programs at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport.
