Bitdeer AI sells out 9.5MW Malaysia data center for $800M

August 31, 2026 4:00 PM

Bitdeer AI, a unit of Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: BTDR), has fully contracted the approximately 9.5MW capacity at its A102 data center in Malaysia, with five-year offtake commitments totaling expected revenue of over $800 million, according to a company statement.

The agreements include an offtake commitment announced on Aug. 19. Revenue and associated costs are not expected to begin until the first quarter of 2027, when services are scheduled to commence, with no revenue impact anticipated in 2026.

The A102 facility is a liquid-cooled, multi-customer data center built for rack-scale Nvidia GB300 NVL72 deployments, capable of delivering GPU cloud services and data hosting from a single site. Energization is expected in the first quarter of 2027.

Bitdeer AI said it structures AI cloud contracts so that customer prepayments are expected to cover more than 50% of associated capital expenditure. The company funds data center development through customer prepayments, operating cash flow, and financing secured against contracted cash flows.

The company said its active pipeline for AI cloud capacity now exceeds $2 billion. Bitdeer AI is targeting 350MW of AI cloud data center capacity to be delivered by the first quarter of 2028, with the A102 facility representing 9.5MW of that total. The company said it is now concentrating on its 21.7MW Johor Bahru site in Malaysia, as well as capacity at other locations.
