Viasat, Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) announced that its ViaSat-3 F3 satellite has entered service, with capacity now available for customers across the Asia-Pacific region, according to a company press release dated Aug. 31, 2026.

The satellite is designed to deliver more than one terabit per second of throughput capacity and operates on a Ka-band frequency. It is the second of three satellites in Viasat's next-generation constellation to enter service.

ViaSat-3 F1 has been in service since 2024. The third satellite, ViaSat-3 F2, which is intended to serve the Americas, is in the final stages of in-orbit testing and is expected to enter service in the near term, at which point the constellation will be complete.

"Asia-Pacific presents a unique challenge for satellite connectivity, with demand concentrated in specific corridors and markets across a vast geography," said Mark Dankberg, Chairman and CEO of Viasat. "ViaSat-3 F3 gives us the flexibility to direct high operating leverage capacity where demand and opportunity are greatest."

Viasat is headquartered in Carlsbad, California, and operates in 24 countries.
