Expion Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: XPON), formerly known as Expion360 Inc., appointed Marc W. Jarvis to its board of directors, effective August 28, 2026, according to a press release from the Redmond, Oregon-based company.

Jarvis brings more than 45 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a background in Gulf Coast and Deep Tuscaloosa assets. He has been involved in structuring, valuing, negotiating, and closing more than $2.5 billion in oil and gas acquisitions and divestitures throughout his career.

Jarvis currently serves as a partner at Cynergy Advisors, LLC, a consulting firm focused on transaction and investment banking services for the oil and gas sector, a role he has held since 2020. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President of Exploration and Production at Falcon V, LLC, and held senior engineering and production roles at Summit Discovery Resources LLC, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation of Japan, where he oversaw an asset base valued at more than $1.8 billion. He also previously worked at Penn Virginia Oil and Gas Corporation and founded Skyline Oil and Gas LLC. Jarvis holds degrees in Petroleum Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University.

The appointment follows recent executive hires at the company, including Kevin Sellers as Chief Executive Officer and Robert Winspear as Chief Financial Officer, as Expion Energy expands into the oil and gas sector. The company has disclosed plans to develop an oil and gas platform in Eastern Louisiana.

"Marc has spent more than four decades doing what Expion is now setting out to do – finding, evaluating, structuring and developing oil and gas assets – and he has performed much of that work along the Gulf Coast," Sellers said in the statement.

Expion Energy also operates as a manufacturer of lithium iron phosphate batteries for recreational vehicles, marine, and industrial applications. The company changed its name from Expion360 Inc. earlier this year to reflect its expanded energy strategy.
