Circle to appear on Chelsea FC shirts starting in 2026/27 season
Chelsea Football Club and Circle Internet Group (NYSE: CRCL) have announced a principal partnership that will place Circle and its USDC stablecoin brand on the front of Chelsea's Men's, Women's, and Academy shirts beginning with the 2026/27 season.
Under the agreement, Circle becomes an official front-of-shirt partner for Chelsea FC. The branding will appear for the first time at Chelsea's men's first Premier League home game of the 2026/27 season against Brighton.
Circle, founded in 2013, issues USDC, a dollar-denominated stablecoin. The company describes USDC as enabling individuals and businesses to move money globally on a continuous basis.
Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of Circle, said: "We built USDC on the belief that money should work seamlessly for everyone everywhere, the way the internet does. Partnering with Chelsea connects us with a global sports community built on that exact same borderless vision."
Jason Gannon, president of Chelsea FC, said: "This partnership with Circle positions Chelsea at the forefront of football's digital evolution. We are two organisations fixated by the future and are relentlessly innovating to be in the best position possible for the long-term."
Chelsea Women's inaugural season at Stamford Bridge coincides with the start of the partnership. Aki Mandhar, CEO of Chelsea FC Women, noted the club looks forward to introducing Circle and USDC to its fanbase.
Chelsea FC's men's team are the reigning FIFA Club World Cup champions, having won the tournament in 2025. The women's team won the FA Women's Super League for a sixth consecutive year in 2025.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed. The information in this article is based on a press release issued by Circle Internet Group and Chelsea Football Club.
