Eos Energy Enterprises (NASDAQ: EOSE) announced it will consolidate its battery manufacturing operations at its 432,000-square-foot Thorn Hill facility in Warrendale, Pa., moving production from its Turtle Creek, Pa. location.

The company began commercial production at Thorn Hill in June 2026. Once consolidated, Eos expects conversion costs to fall by approximately 10% to 15%, with those savings beginning in 2027. Thorn Hill's nameplate capacity is expected to reach approximately 4 GWh once both production lines are operating.

The transition is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and be completed in early 2027, subject to lender approvals. Eos said the move is consistent with plans outlined during its second quarter earnings call on August 5, 2026, and is accounted for within the company's full-year 2026 revenue guidance of $300 million to $350 million.

Cube assembly, testing and shipping will continue at the Turtle Creek site's Building 200. Battery manufacturing currently housed in Building 700 at Turtle Creek will relocate to Thorn Hill.

Approximately 250 employees are affected by the consolidation, including around 205 union-represented workers. The company said it expects to offer each impacted employee a role at Thorn Hill, Building 200, or its corporate offices. Placement of union employees will follow collective bargaining obligations and a process conducted with the United Steelworkers.

"Every employee impacted by this move will have a job offer or a location assignment waiting for them," said Michelle Buczkowski, Chief Commercial Officer.

Chief Executive Officer Joe Mastrangelo said the consolidation gives the company "the space and capacity we need for the next phase of growth while keeping jobs, investment and opportunity right here in Allegheny County."

Eos relocated its corporate headquarters to Nova Place on Pittsburgh's North Shore earlier in 2026. The company's Eos Z3 battery uses zinc-based chemistry and is designed for four to 16-plus hours of energy storage, with approximately 91% domestic content.
