Mistras Group names AI executive director in strategy push

MISTRAS Group, Inc. (NYSE: MG) has appointed Samer F. Sarrouh as Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence, according to a company statement dated Aug. 27, 2026.

Sarrouh will lead the company's enterprise AI strategy, with responsibilities that include identifying and prioritizing AI opportunities across the organization and establishing a framework for adoption, governance, and performance measurement.

Before joining Mistras, Sarrouh led enterprise data and AI initiatives at Kroger, where his work included production AI capabilities, retail intelligence, and data-platform modernization. He previously held leadership roles at Amazon Web Services and RoviSys Automation & Information Solutions. He holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Cleveland State University.

Mistras said its AI focus will target inspection intelligence, asset data analysis, and engineering and operational workflows. The company provides industrial asset integrity and laboratory testing solutions to sectors including oil and gas, aerospace and defense, and power generation.

"Our goal is to build a responsible and repeatable capability that produces measurable value for MISTRAS and our customers," said Jim Redmon, Senior Vice President of Operations – Data Solutions. "That means solving the right business problems, establishing strong data and governance foundations, and scaling what proves effective."
