GoPro, Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) has opened pre-orders for the Mission 1 Pro ILS, a compact cinema camera featuring a Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens system, priced at $699.99 MSRP, or $599.99 for existing GoPro subscribers. The camera is set to be available at retailers globally beginning September 2.

The Mission 1 Pro ILS is the third camera in GoPro's Mission 1 Series. It is built around a 50-megapixel 1" sensor and the company's GP3 processor, and weighs 6.95 oz (197g). The camera supports video recording up to 8K at 60 frames per second and 4K at 240 frames per second, along with Open Gate modes up to 8K30 and 4K120. It also offers 10-bit color, GP-Log2 encoding, HLG HDR video, and bit rates up to 240Mbps.

The camera is compatible with manual focus and manual aperture Micro Four Thirds lenses, as well as vintage and PL mount cinema lenses via adapters. Lenses are sold separately. The body includes a four-microphone array, 32-bit float audio recording, and a 2150mAh Enduro 2 battery rated for over three hours of continuous 4K30 recording.

Alongside the camera, GoPro announced the Mission Monitor app, a free professional video monitoring application for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later. The app includes focus peaking, zebra pattern exposure guidance, real-time LUT preview, and integrated camera controls. It will be available on the Apple App Store beginning September 2.

According to a company press release, the Mission 1 Series has received recognition from outlets including Tom's Guide, PCMag, and Gizmodo since its earlier launch. The Mission 1 Pro ILS also received two awards at NAB Show 2026, including CineD's Best-of-Show Award.

GoPro also noted that the Mission 1, Mission 1 Pro, and Mission 1 Pro Grip Edition are currently available at $100 off for a limited time.
