XBP Global wins British Airways contract for AI maintenance system
XBP Global Holdings (NASDAQ: XBP) announced a contract with British Airways to deploy its Plexus® AI platform, an agentic artificial intelligence solution designed to automate aircraft maintenance workflows and asset lifecycle tracking.
Under the agreement, Plexus® AI will capture, vectorize, and store maintenance records across British Airways' fleet within a private vector database. The system is also designed to reproduce full servicing histories when aircraft go off lease or are sold, and to consolidate software by replacing existing third-party vendors.
The solution will be deployed within British Airways' private cloud infrastructure, which XBP says makes it compliant with the EU AI Act. The company describes this as its second sovereign deployment, following a prior rollout with CNAM.

"For British Airways, Plexus® AI solves a critical, complex operational challenge: maintaining an unalterable, searchable, and fully compliant servicing history for a massive fleet, right down to off-lease asset transitions," said Vitalie Robu, President of XBP Europe.
XBP Global is headquartered in Irving, Texas, and operates in 20 countries with approximately 9,200 employees. The company states it plans to offer the Plexus® AI solution to other airlines and industrial enterprises following the British Airways deployment.
