JinkoSolar names Wei Du as new CEO, Xiande Li stays as chairman
JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: JKS) announced that Xiande Li has resigned as chief executive officer, with Wei "Dimi" Du succeeding him in the role, both effective Aug. 26, 2026.
Li will remain with the company as chairman and chair of the compensation committee and the nominating and corporate governance committee of the board of directors. The company stated that Li's resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company and that it does not expect the leadership change to have a material impact on business operations.
Du most recently served as vice president of strategic investment at JinkoSolar beginning in April 2026. Before that, he held the role of general manager of strategic investment and assistant to the chairman at JinkoSolar from December 2021 to March 2026, and served as assistant to the chairman of Jinko Power Technology Co., Ltd. from February 2021 to December 2021. Prior to joining JinkoSolar, Du was executive general manager of investor relations at Shanghai Yuyuan Tourist Mart (Group) Co., Ltd. from October 2018 to January 2021.
Du holds a BSc in accounting and finance from the University of Bristol and an MSc in finance from Imperial College London.
