Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) has been awarded a position on the Contract Operations for Missile Evaluation and Testing (COMET) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a combined ceiling value of more than $14 billion, according to a company statement.

The multiple-award contract supports the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC) and its mission to provide scientific and technical intelligence and foundational military intelligence analysis of foreign weapon systems.

Under the contract, Parsons will compete for task orders covering research, development, integration, and sustainment of hardware, systems, and software capabilities, as well as analytical services across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. The contract includes five mission task areas spanning multiple domains.

"Parsons has a long history of delivering advanced intelligence, mission engineering, and analytical capabilities that help our customers address rapidly evolving threats," said Mike Kushin, president of Defense and Intelligence for Parsons.

The company states it has supported U.S. missile, space, and intelligence missions for more than 35 years, with operations in Huntsville, Alabama, including a facility adjacent to Redstone Arsenal. Parsons previously expanded its intelligence capabilities through the acquisition of Altamira Technologies, which the company says brought more than 20 years of intelligence solutions experience.

MSIC assessments are used by warfighters, policymakers, weapons developers, homeland security organizations, and Intelligence Community partners to evaluate foreign capabilities, performance, and vulnerabilities.
