Nuwellis strikes co-promotion deal with Atrility Medical for AtriAmp
Nuwellis, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUWE) and Atrility Medical, Inc. have entered into a co-promotion and distribution agreement for Atrility's AtriAmp device, the companies announced.
Under the agreement, the two companies will begin a six-month co-promotion program covering three Nuwellis sales territories across approximately nine Western and five Southeastern states. Nuwellis will receive commissions on sales to existing and new customers within those territories. Atrility will continue to serve its existing customers in the covered areas while Nuwellis pursues new customer relationships.
If the pilot program is completed successfully, Nuwellis is expected to transition to Atrility's exclusive U.S. distributor for much of the country, at which point Nuwellis would purchase products directly from Atrility and assume responsibility for sales, distribution, and order fulfillment.
The AtriAmp is an FDA-cleared, sterile, single-patient-use device designed for patients with temporary epicardial pacing wires placed during cardiac surgery. It connects a patient's pacing wires to an existing bedside ECG monitor and external pacemaker, providing a continuous, real-time atrial electrogram while supporting temporary atrial pacing. The device is cleared for use in both adult and pediatric patients.
A 2024 peer-reviewed qualitative study evaluating early adoption of AtriAmp following congenital heart surgery included interviews with 14 healthcare providers. The study identified themes including perceived reductions in time to arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment, more accurate arrhythmia diagnosis, and improved clinician familiarity.
"AtriAmp is an excellent strategic fit with Nuwellis' growing pediatric and critical care portfolio, serving many of the same hospitals, physicians and care teams that our commercial organization supports today," said Mike McCormick, Nuwellis President and Chief Executive Officer.
