August 25, 2026 8:31 AM

Lakeland Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: LAKE) announced a series of new contract awards across Latin America, covering six countries and multiple end markets including fire, disaster response, law enforcement, forensic, industrial and utility sectors.

In Peru, the company was awarded a public tender to supply firefighter protective equipment to the Callao Fire Department, including turnout suits, helmets, gloves and hoods, with delivery targeted for October. In Argentina, the National Council of Volunteer Firefighters, which represents more than 1,100 fire departments and over 58,000 firefighters, awarded Lakeland an order for EN-certified structural firefighting suits. In Guatemala, national disaster agency CONRED selected Lakeland to supply wildland firefighting boots and protective garments.

Additional awards include a multi-year agreement with Costa Rican water utility SONDEL S.A. for protective coveralls and encapsulated suits, an order from Chile's Servicio Médico Legal for forensic coveralls, multiple orders from Argentina-based SOLIMIN for industrial garments, and an award from the Guyana Fire Service for structural firefighting jackets and trousers.

Pending awards include a head-to-toe fire and rescue ensemble package for the Argentine Federal Police, which is awaiting purchase-order issuance, and a protective coverall opportunity with Chile's Policía de Investigaciones advancing toward award.

According to the company's press release, the contracts build on Lakeland's 2024 acquisition of Veridian, which provided an existing Latin American customer base. The company cited adoption of updated NFPA 1970:2025 standards as a factor driving demand for certified protective gear in the region.

"These awards reflect both the breadth of demand we are seeing across Latin America and the strength of our head-to-toe platform," said Jim Jenkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lakeland Fire + Safety.
