Teledyne FLIR OEM, a unit of Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY), has been selected to support the U.S. Army's Delivering Unmatched Thermal Capability Hastened (DUTCH) initiative, which aims to advance uncooled thermal infrared sensing for defense applications.

The DUTCH program is led by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Critical Technologies and the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center. The initiative focuses on improving uncooled thermal sensor performance while reducing size, weight, power, and cost, and on scaling these technologies for high-volume production.

Under the award, Teledyne FLIR OEM will support development and demonstration efforts tied to U.S. Army modernization priorities. Uncooled thermal sensors are used in defense applications including uncrewed aerial systems, loitering munitions, thermal binoculars, and weapons sights.

The DUTCH initiative aligns with stated Department of War priorities to strengthen domestic microelectronics supply chains and manufacturing capacity for defense technologies.
