Intapp and Legora partner on AI governance tools for law firms
Intapp (NASDAQ: INTA) and Legora announced a strategic partnership to connect their respective AI platforms for law firms, according to a press release from the companies.
The partnership covers three areas. First, Legora will integrate with Intapp Walls for AI, which applies a firm's existing ethical walls and information governance controls to AI-powered legal workflows within Legora, including legal research, contract review, document drafting, and due diligence.
Second, Legora will supply structured usage data to Intapp Time, enabling automated generation of time entries based on work lawyers perform in Legora. The companies say the integration is intended to reduce time leakage and administrative burden.
Third, the two companies plan joint development of agentic workflows combining Legora Agent with Intapp Celeste, Intapp's AI product for law firm business operations. An initial version will allow mutual customers to trigger capabilities from each platform within the other.
Legora says it is used by more than 100,000 legal professionals at more than 1,500 law firms and in-house legal teams across more than 50 markets.
"Firms want to put AI to work across both the practice of law and the business of law, but never at the expense of the controls their clients rely on," said Max Junestrand, co-founder and CEO of Legora.
John Hall, chairman and CEO of Intapp, said: "Professionals are entrusted with their clients' most sensitive matters, and that trust has to extend to every tool they use, including AI."
The companies said the integrations will be delivered in phases, with availability details to follow for mutual customers.
