Ritchie Bros. launches redesigned mobile app with native bidding

August 24, 2026 4:30 PM

Ritchie Bros., part of RB Global, Inc. (NYSE: RBA), has launched a redesigned mobile app that allows buyers to place bids directly from their mobile devices, matching the functionality previously available only on its desktop platform.

The updated app, available on iOS and Android, replaces what the company described as a mobile browsing tool with a fully native bidding and transaction experience. The app supports more than 10 languages and is aimed at the company's global buyer base, which accounts for more than 120 million annual visits to its marketplace.

Key features include a native bidding interface that eliminates browser redirects, real-time auction tracking with one-tap bidding, enhanced search tools, updated listing pages with inspection reports and photo libraries, and a consolidated tab for tracking bids, watchlists, and saved searches.

According to the company, buyers who participated in pre-launch testing converted from search to watchlist at more than double the rate seen on the web platform, and watch-listed items went on to receive a bid within 14 days.

"By engineering a native bidding ecosystem and integrating real-time auction trackers, we are giving our global buyer base the ability to view, compare, bid and buy from anywhere, without friction," said Shiv Dutt, Executive Vice President and Head of RB Marketplaces at Ritchie Bros.

The information is based on a press release issued by RB Global.
