Wix integrates website creation into Google's Gemini platform
Wix.com Ltd. (Nasdaq: WIX) has announced an integration with Google that allows users to build and manage Wix Harmony websites directly within the Gemini AI assistant, according to a company statement.
The integration is available as a connected app inside Gemini. Users can describe a website via voice or text, and a Wix Harmony website is generated on Wix's infrastructure. The resulting sites include support for commerce, scheduling, payments, SEO, accessibility, and security features.
Once a website is created, users can manage it from within the Gemini interface or through Wix's Business Manager. Tasks such as updating product pricing, managing inventory, pulling analytics, and handling bookings can be performed through natural language prompts by typing "@Wix" in the Gemini chat after connecting the Wix app.
"Through this collaboration, users can now build directly inside Gemini, removing the friction of switching between tools," said Shahar Talmi, GM of Developer Platform at Wix.
The Wix app is currently available to Gemini users in eligible markets. Wix was founded in 2006 and acquired the no-code application platform Base44 in 2025.
