Powerus, doing business as Autonomous Power Corporation, has begun manufacturing its Guardian counter-unmanned aircraft system interceptor line at a dedicated facility in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, the company announced jointly with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: PUSA) on Aug. 24, 2026.

The Guardian interceptor is a U.S.-designed system built to defeat one-way attack drones and other low-altitude aerial threats. The Gulf production facility was established through a multi-year partnership with a regional defense manufacturer whose name was not disclosed. Under the arrangement, Powerus retains responsibility for design, engineering, and technical standards, while the regional partner provides manufacturing capacity.

The company said regional production is intended to shorten delivery timelines compared with shipping finished systems from the United States. Manufacturing activities are conducted in accordance with applicable U.S. export control laws and authorizations, according to the announcement.

"The threat moves faster than a shipping schedule," said Brett Velicovich, co-founder and president of Powerus. "Producing close to our allies means they get interceptors at the pace the threat actually moves, not the pace logistics allows."

Separately, the registration statement on Form S-4 for the proposed business combination between Aureus Greenway Holdings and Powerus was declared effective by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Aug. 12, 2026. AGH has changed its Nasdaq ticker symbol to PUSA in anticipation of the pending combination. The merger is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and required regulatory approvals. Under the terms of the agreement, Powerus will merge into a newly formed subsidiary of AGH, with AGH adopting the name Powerus Corporation upon completion.

Matthew Saker, interim chief executive officer of AGH, said expanding manufacturing capacity in the region is consistent with the strategic vision for the combined company.
