Imax extends Chief Legal Officer Lister's contract through 2029
Imax Corporation (NYSE: IMAX) has extended the employment agreement of Robert D. Lister, the company's Chief Legal Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, through December 31, 2029.
The amendment, dated August 19, 2026, is the third modification to Lister's original employment agreement, which was first signed on December 18, 2017, and previously amended in March 2020 and October 2023.
According to the filing, Lister's compensation and severance terms remain largely unchanged. Key modifications relate to the treatment of unvested equity awards under specific circumstances. If Lister resigns without Good Reason but provides at least six months' written notice prior to his final day, unvested equity awards will continue to vest on their original schedule under the Service Factor provision of the company's Long-Term Incentive Plan. Performance stock units would remain subject to original performance conditions.
If Imax does not offer to continue Lister's employment on substantially similar terms after December 31, 2029, any unvested equity awards at that date will also continue to vest according to their original schedules.
The full amendment is expected to be filed as an exhibit to Imax's quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ending September 30, 2026.
