BWXT names Suzanne Maddux as new SVP of operations

BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT) has appointed Suzanne Maddux as senior vice president of operations, a newly created position reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Rex Geveden, according to a company statement.

Maddux will oversee Environmental Health and Safety, Security, Operational Excellence, and Supply Chain. She will also provide oversight for manufacturing operations, engineering, and quality. A stated focus of the role is to strengthen coordination between BWXT's Government Operations and Commercial Operations divisions.

Maddux joins BWXT from Mercury Systems, where she served as vice president of global supply chain. Before that, she spent 18 years at RTX in roles spanning operations, supply chain, quality, engineering, program management, and general management. She holds a bachelor's degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan.

"Suzanne brings deep operational expertise and a proven ability to unify complex organizations," Geveden said. "As we execute on our robust backlog, sharpen our operational alignment and scale for future growth, Suzanne's leadership will be central to helping ensure we are structured for long-term success."

BWXT is headquartered in Lynchburg, Va., and employs more than 11,000 people across 19 manufacturing facilities globally.
