Foresight and VisionWave sign defense UGV cooperation deal
Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: FRSX, TASE: FRSX) and VisionWave Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: VWAV) have signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to integrate Foresight's 3D perception technology into VisionWave's VARAN modular autonomous unmanned ground vehicle platform, according to a press release dated Aug. 20, 2026.
Under the agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop an autonomy-enabled VARAN unmanned ground vehicle combining Foresight's stereoscopic visible-light and infrared camera systems with VisionWave's ground platform. The companies said specific development programs and commercial terms remain subject to additional definitive agreements, regulatory requirements, and applicable export-control approvals.
The cooperation targets defense and military applications in South Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, and global markets. Foresight will allocate business development resources to promote the VARAN platform across Asia, while VisionWave will have rights to promote solutions incorporating Foresight technology globally, subject to mutually approved opportunities.
The agreement covers technology development and integration, demonstrations, proof-of-concept programs, customer evaluations, and potential serial production and commercialization. A joint steering committee has been established to coordinate these activities.
Haim Siboni, Chief Executive Officer of Foresight, said: "This collaboration brings together Foresight's proven stereoscopic 3D perception and infrared sensing capabilities with VisionWave's modular VARAN autonomous UGV platform, creating a more intelligent and resilient system for operating in complex, low-visibility defense environments."
The agreement expands on a previously announced strategic relationship between the two companies into a formal development, integration, and commercialization framework.
