Merit Medical names new EVP of global operations as COO prepares to exit
Merit Medical Systems (NASDAQ: MMSI) announced that Sheri Lewis will join the company as Executive Vice President of Global Operations, effective August 31, 2026, according to a press release from the South Jordan, Utah-based medical device maker.
Lewis brings approximately 30 years of experience in global operations, manufacturing, and supply chain management. She previously held senior roles at SkinHealth Systems, Avantor, Medtronic, and Honeywell, where she oversaw manufacturing, distribution, logistics, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and environmental health and safety functions.
"Sheri is an accomplished operations executive with a strong record of leading complex organizations and building high-performing teams," said Martha G. Aronson, Merit's President and Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment follows the planned departure of current Chief Operating Officer Neil Peterson, who will transition to a Senior Advisor role to support continuity through March 5, 2027, after which he will conclude more than 32 years with the company. Peterson has served as COO for the past four years.
"Neil has been a dedicated and respected leader at Merit. His operational discipline, commitment to execution, and deep knowledge of our manufacturing and supply chain network have contributed meaningfully to the company's growth and performance," Aronson said.
