August 19, 2026 8:33 AM

ReElement Technologies Corporation has received a Minor Source air permit for all four planned production lines at its Marion, Indiana facility, according to a statement from American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: AREC), which holds a minority stake in ReElement.

The permit covers installation, commissioning, and operation of all four Phase I production lines at the Marion Supersite, a facility designed to refine and purify rare earth elements and critical minerals using a chromatography-based separation platform.

Products targeted for production at the facility include germanium, gallium, neodymium, neodymium-praseodymium, dysprosium, terbium, gadolinium, yttrium, and samarium. Feedstocks are expected to include recycled materials, industrial byproducts, and mined ores.

Mark Jensen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ReElement, said the permit represents "a significant milestone in ReElement's commercialization," adding that cooperation between the company, the State of Indiana, the City of Marion, Grant County, and federal authorities demonstrated what is possible when government and industry work together.

With air permitting complete, the company said its focus shifts to equipment installation, commissioning, and advancing the facility toward commercial production. ReElement stated that the Marion facility's permitting process could serve as a model for future deployments in the United States and with international partners.

The Marion Supersite is intended to supply domestic defense, energy, automotive, semiconductor, and advanced-manufacturing sectors when fully operational.
