Oracle Health announced new capabilities for its Clinical AI Agent, now available in the U.S., expanding the tool's functions to include automated professional fee coding, real-time dictation transcription, and AI-assisted chart review, according to a company statement.

The coding feature analyzes conversations during patient visits and suggests professional fee charge codes within the orders workflow for ambulatory settings. Clinicians review and confirm recommendations before submission. The chart review function surfaces clinical context from across the electronic health record, including medical history, lab results, and medications. The dictation feature allows clinicians to speak directly into any text field while the AI agent transcribes speech in real time.

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) said that since the Clinical AI Agent's note generation capability launched nearly two years ago, it has saved physicians more than 400,000 hours across U.S. health organizations.

The new capabilities build on previously announced features, including automated order creation. Oracle said the AI agents use semantic reasoning to share context across workflows and operate in near real time, with clinicians retaining responsibility for reviewing, editing, and signing all documentation and coding decisions.

"With our expanding portfolio of AI capabilities embedded directly into clinical and revenue cycle workflows, we're helping healthcare organizations operate more efficiently while enabling clinicians to stay focused on delivering high-quality care."

Oracle Health is scheduled to hold its Health and Life Sciences Summit in Orlando, Florida, from September 22–24, 2026.
