Total Wireless expands Western Union services to retail stores nationwide
Total Wireless announced an expanded partnership with Western Union (NYSE: WU) to bring financial services to its retail locations across the United States. Services launched in select stores on Aug. 18, 2026, with a phased rollout to additional locations planned through the end of 2026.
The partnership makes bill pay, money orders, and money transfers available to all customers at standard Western Union rates at participating Total Wireless stores. Eligible customers on MAX 5G BYO, MAX 5G, and ALL ACCESS plans retain a monthly fee-free Western Union transfer, redeemable in stores, online, or through the Western Union app.
The retail expansion builds on a June 2026 launch in which Total Wireless began offering the monthly fee-free transfer benefit. Western Union's network covers more than 200 countries and territories through over 360,000 payout locations worldwide.
"By adding Western Union to the retail experience, we're expanding access to everyday financial services for everyone," said David Kim, President of Verizon Value. "Whether customers need to send money, pay bills, or purchase money orders, they can now do it at Total Wireless."
"By bringing our services to Total Wireless stores, we're meeting more customers where they already shop," said Jesse Mory, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Western Union.
Total Wireless operates approximately 2,000 exclusive stores and is part of Verizon's portfolio of prepaid wireless brands.
