Greenland Technologies Holding Corporation (NASDAQ: GTEC) announced the commercialization of proprietary four-wheel drive transmission systems designed for off-road forklift truck applications, according to a company press release.

The Hangzhou, China-based company said its new transmission product lineup, ranging from 1.8-ton to 10-ton models, was first launched in 2024 and has begun contributing to company revenue. The systems were developed in-house and incorporate multiple patented technologies.

Following more than two years of product testing and validation, multiple major forklift truck original equipment manufacturers have adopted the systems for integration into off-road forklift models serving domestic and international markets.

The transmission systems are designed to enable forklift trucks to operate in rugged and off-road environments, extending use beyond traditional warehouse and paved-surface settings.

"Our successful introduction of these proprietary four-wheel drive transmission systems represents an important strategic expansion for Greenland," said Raymond Wang, Chief Executive Officer. "We are expanding from traditional indoor material handling applications into broader off-road industrial vehicle markets."

Greenland Technologies describes itself as a developer and manufacturer of transmission and drivetrain systems for material handling machinery and electric industrial vehicles.
