EDX Markets partners with StoneX Digital for institutional crypto access
EDX Markets and StoneX Digital, a wholly-owned subsidiary of StoneX Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SNEX), announced a partnership to expand institutional access to digital asset markets through EDX's trading infrastructure.
StoneX Digital has onboarded to EDX Markets, gaining access to the firm's trading venue and central clearinghouse model. EDX Markets operates by separating trading from custody, a structure the company says reduces counterparty risk and supports capital-efficient trading.
"StoneX is a highly respected global financial services firm with deep relationships across traditional markets, and their onboarding to EDX underscores the growing demand for institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure," said Tony Acuña-Rohter, CEO of EDX Markets.
Eric Rose, Global Head of StoneX Digital, said the partnership aligns with the firm's goals. "EDX's differentiated market structure and focus on operational efficiency align with our commitment to providing secure, transparent and high-performance access to our clients."
StoneX Group Inc. is headquartered in New York City and listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. The company serves more than 80,000 commercial, institutional, and payments clients, along with more than 260,000 retail accounts, across more than 80 offices on six continents.
EDX Markets is an institutional-only trading venue combined with a central clearinghouse, according to the company. Its products are available only to institutions in the U.S. and certain other jurisdictions.
