Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) has opened U.S. pre-orders for the IQ Battery C80, the company's first commercial battery storage system, according to a press release issued Aug. 18, 2026.

The all-in-one, AC-coupled system is designed to deliver 80 kWh of usable energy capacity and up to 40 kVA of continuous power in a single enclosure, with battery packs and microinverters integrated. The system is scalable from 80 kWh to 2 MWh and is intended for commercial, industrial, and multifamily applications.

The IQ Battery C80 will be available in two three-phase configurations: a 120Y/208 V model delivering 33 kVA and a 277Y/480 V model delivering 40 kVA. Both configurations use lithium iron phosphate chemistry, offer greater than 90% AC round-trip efficiency, and operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -22°F to 131°F.

The system is expected to support demand charge management, time-of-use shifting, solar self-consumption, grid services, and virtual power plant participation. It will also be compatible with third-party commercial three-phase solar inverters for new and retrofit projects.

Enphase states the IQ Battery C80 is expected to be produced at U.S. manufacturing facilities and to be FEOC compliant, which the company says may allow certain eligible projects to qualify for domestic content bonus tax credits, subject to project-specific requirements and applicable laws.

The system will carry a 15-year limited warranty and is certified to UL 9540A. It features battery-module smoke and gas sensing, active pressure release, and fire alarm control panel integration support.

Shipments are expected to begin in the first half of 2027.
