Copart adds corporate governance attorney to its board
Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPRT) announced that David J. Berger joined its board of directors, effective August 13, 2026.
Berger, 67, is a Senior Partner at the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C., where he has practiced since 1989 and has been a partner for more than 20 years. His practice focuses on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder activism.
Berger has held several leadership roles at Wilson Sonsini, including service on its board of directors, as chair of its Policy Committee, and on the board of the firm's venture capital fund. He has served as President of the American College of Governance Counsel since May 2023 and currently chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee of the Long-Term Stock Exchange board. Since 2023, he has co-chaired the annual Rome Conference on AI, Ethics and Governance held at the Vatican. Berger holds a J.D. and a B.A. from Duke University.
