CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) has been selected as one of 15 awardees under the National Space Test and Training Complex Innovative Technology & Engineering – Space Test and Range (NITE-STAR) contract with the U.S. Space Force.

The contract is structured as a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) vehicle valued at up to $981 million across two five-year periods.

Under the contract, CACI will design, develop, and deploy technologies across live, virtual, and constructive environments in collaboration with U.S. Space Force OTTI and SYD 81. The work is intended to support testing, evaluation, and training operations for space and ground-based capabilities.

Andreas Nonnenmacher, CACI Senior Vice President of Space, said the award represents "the first of many opportunities to bring together the combined strengths of CACI and ARKA to deliver next-generation space capabilities for the U.S. Space Force."

The contract covers the development and sustainment of capabilities aimed at validating systems and preparing personnel for space engagements and threat scenarios, according to a statement from the Reston, Virginia-based company.
