Mosaic Biosciences launches crop residue breakdown product
Mosaic Biosciences, a unit of The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS), announced the launch of Renuvis Enzara, a residue management product designed to accelerate the decomposition of crop residue, according to a company press release.
Enzara uses endoglucanase enzyme technology to break down structural fibers in crop residue. The company says the product can function in temperatures as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit, distinguishing it from microbial-based alternatives that require time to colonize.
The product can be applied in the fall or spring and is described as tank-mix compatible with existing fertilizer and herbicide applications, requiring no additional equipment pass. It is positioned for use in corn-on-corn, no-till, reduced-till, and conventional tillage systems.
In 2025 on-farm trials, Enzara showed improvements in residue decomposition in both corn-on-corn and soybean-after-corn systems. Spring applications were associated with improved emergence, stand count, and uniformity in both corn and soybeans.

The Mosaic Company is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, and operates as a producer of potash and phosphate fertilizer.
